Who, Really, Is Our Founding Father?
If you don't think turmoil can't be infused into the roots of nations, here's an interesting quote I dug out:
"The immediate objects are the total destruction and devastation of their settlements, and the capture of as many prisoners of every age and sex as possible. It will be essential to ruin their crops now in the ground and prevent their planting more..."
The General here is speaking of Native Americans.
This order came as a retaliatory measure after Senecas attacked settlements in Pennsylvania.
The General in question is none other than Founding Father George Washington.
Why this matters:
If we choose to live this way, we are going to have to deal with turmoil. With trauma and heartache. It's in our blood. It's who we are.
If we ever desire to know peace, love, hope, true joy–all those things–then we need to commit ourselves at every opportunity to offsetting these very real #NegativeVibes from the wings, where we may be afraid to look.
We need to take concrete steps. Often.
How dire is the situation?
Let's put it this way–who received the above order?
That would be Samuel Mason, who, it may be argued, was America's first real serial killer. If not, then he once harbored the Harpe Brothers, who also fit the bill.
I'm placing all my bets on Nature. Any "impurities" there are dealt with internally.
